This is the 12th year for DVAA’s ‘Art in the Sixes’ and it is bigger than ever with well over 500 artworks by 168 artists. All of the artworks are no larger than 6 inches tall or wide. Many are in frames (which can be larger than 6 inches) and there are great selection of sculptures, photography and everything from paintings to collage and art made of surprising materials and techniques.
Everything is ready to be gift wrapped for your favorite art loving friends and family and with prices ranging from $30 up to $450 there is quite possibly something for everyone on your holiday gifting list.
I’m especially excited because six of our Gallery Number Nine artists – Ramona Jan, Philip Jostrom, Susan Miiller, Louis N. Pontone, Tamara D’Antoni and Debra Cortese (that would be me) have art in this year’s show!
NOTE: This art opening is always very festive with music, wine and cookies in abundance. Most of the artists, family and friends will be there to celebrate and socialize, so arrive a bit early to get a good parking space on Main Street or in the lot behind Wayne Bank. The opening will be most likely be standing room only, so… if you really just want to enjoy the art and do some serious holiday shopping, I recommend you plan to visit the gallery again, after the opening party so you can actually take your time to appreciate all of the fabulous artworks!
Alliance Gallery HOURS: Tuesday – Saturday 10 am – 5 pm, Sunday 11 am – 3 pm. 37 Main Street, Narrowsburg, NY 12764
